About the Role

We are seeking a Children's Bible Teacher to teach biblical principles and stories to children in a manner that is age-appropriate and engaging. The ideal candidate will create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in their faith, plan and organize activities that promote learning and interaction among children, collaborate with other teachers and church staff to ensure that the curriculum aligns with the mission and vision of the church, communicate with parents or guardians about the progress and needs of their children, manage behavior and discipline fairly and consistently, provide emotional and spiritual support to children as needed, attend training and development programs to enhance teaching skills and knowledge, maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other relevant information, uphold the policies and procedures of the church, maintain confidentiality where necessary, and provide regular reports of the department's activities to the Pastorate during regular leaders’ meetings via the department leader.

Responsibilities:
- Teach biblical principles and stories to children in a manner that is age-appropriate and engaging.

- Uphold the policies and procedures of the church and maintain confidentiality where necessary.
- Provide regular reports of the department's activities to the Pastorate during regular leaders’ meetings via the department leader.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
- Experience in teaching children in a church or school setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of biblical principles and stories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage behavior and discipline fairly and consistently.
- Ability to provide emotional and spiritual support to children as needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to attend training and development programs to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

  • Possess great knowledge of biblically sound teachings and continue to acquire more through the leading of the Holy Spirit in training, leadership meetings, bible study, meditation and spirit-led research. 

  • Passion and love for children - "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

  • Tolerance and patience- "Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, to bring praise to God." (Romans 15:7)

  • Dependability - "Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." (1 Corinthians 4:2)

  • Moral uprightness - "Therefore, anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:19)

  • Good reputation and positive role models in and out of the church

  • Ability to teach with enthusiasm and understanding

  • Attend training programs to enhance their teaching skills and maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other relevant information. 

  • They must also uphold the policies and procedures of the church, especially safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality where necessary.
