Position Title: Engineering/IT and Media Department Head

Department: Engineering/IT and Media

Reports to: The Pastorate

Position Summary:

The Engineering/IT and Media Department Head will be responsible for ensuring that the technical and media-related aspects of the church's activities run smoothly. The position holder will lead a team responsible for managing the church's website, maintaining the site's user-friendliness and keeping it up-to-date. The team will also manage the church's social media platforms, create content, and engage with followers to keep them informed.

Moreover, the department provides audio and visual support for church services and events, including setting up and managing audio and visual equipment. They are also responsible for managing the live streaming of church services and events. The department maintains the church's computer systems and network, ensuring they are secure and functional. They also produce dramas and skits for church services and events and create graphics and designs for the church's print and digital media.

The Engineering/IT and Media Department Head will be responsible for fundraising and accepting donations to support their work. They will manage the church's database/app, ensuring it is up-to-date and user-friendly. Additionally, they will engage in continuous professional development through training, research, and self-improvement.

The department head will report updates and activities to the pastorate during leadership meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Engineering/IT and Media Department team
• Oversee the management of the church's website, social media platforms, audio and visual equipment, live streaming, computer systems and network, dramas and skits, and graphics and designs
• Fundraise and accept donations to support the department's work
• Manage the church's database/app
• Engage in continuous professional development through training, research, and self-improvement
• Report updates and activities to the pastorate during leadership meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Media Studies, or a related field
• Proven track record of at least five years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of website management, social media management, audio and visual equipment, live streaming, computer systems and network management, drama and skit production, and graphic design
• Knowledge of fundraising and accepting donations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead a team and manage projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

The Engineering/IT and Media Department Head is an essential position in enhancing the church's visibility, communication, and technical support.

  10. Continuous learning: The department requires individuals who are willing to engage in continuous professional development through training, research, and self-improvement. (Proverbs 18:15)
